Airthings, creators of indoor air quality monitors which measure radon gas and other indoor air contaminants, is supporting the American Lung Association's LUNG FORCE initiative. Airthings supports efforts to raise awareness about indoor air quality and radon; an odorless, colorless, tasteless gas that can cause lung cancer. Radon is a radioactive gas that surrounds every one of us as part of the air we breathe and can accumulate to dangerous levels inside schools, homes and other buildings. Exposure to radon is a leading cause of lung cancer, killing an estimated 21,000 people in the United States every year. The only way to know if you have dangerous levels is to test for radon, and long-term monitoring offers the best way to know your overall exposure.

Indoor air can also contain other pollutants that can negatively impact lung health. You can improve your lung health by monitoring your indoor air quality and making small adjustments to improve it.

Airthings will donate $1 from each Airthings Wave, Wave Plus, Wave Mini and Corentium Home radon and indoor air quality monitors sold on Airthings.com through December 31, 2021, with a minimum donation of $25,000 to the American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE initiative to support lung cancer research.
