Freedom From Smoking® facilitators lead engaging, effective group smoking cessation clinics in communities nationwide. The training explains nicotine addiction, program content and implementation, and how to facilitate group interaction. - Better Breathers Club Facilitator
Better Breathers Club facilitators lead support group meetings that provide education and networking opportunities for adults living with chronic lung disease. The training includes guidance on starting a Club, recruiting members and planning engaging and supportive meetings. - Open Airways For Schools Facilitator
Open Airways For Schools facilitators are trained to help children learn to manage their asthma. The training includes basic information about asthma, modeling of appropriate skills, a thorough review of the curriculum and tips for working with children. - INDEPTH Facilitator
INDEPTH facilitators plan and implement an educational program for students as an alternative to suspension for violation of school tobacco, vaping, or nicotine use policies. - N-O-T Facilitator
Not On Tobacco® (N-O-T) facilitators lead the American Lung Association’s proven teen smoking and vaping cessation program. - Kickin' Asthma Facilitator
Help kids ages 11-16 learn asthma self-management techniques through fun and interactive approaches. - Breathe Well, Live Well Facilitator
Help adults better manage their asthma by using Breathe Well, Live Well: The Guide to Managing Asthma at Home and Work as a tool to educate and empower patients to take control of their asthma.

Take this two-day professional development course to provide asthma guidelines-based care to patients and their families and get the knowledge you need to sit for the National Asthma Educator Certification Board exam. - COPD Educator Course
The course includes thorough and practical information healthcare professionals can use in their work with COPD patients while earning continuing education credits.
Continuing Education
- Spirometry Training
The Implementation and Interpretation of Spirometry in the Primary Care Practice course is for healthcare professionals who administer the spirometry test and primary care providers who interpret the results to assist with diagnosis and disease management. Continuing education credits available.

This program partners with medical clinics and includes technical assistance, Lung Association trainings (Asthma Educator Institute and Spirometry), and other quality improvement components to improve care for pediatric asthma patients. - Gayle Ann Traver Pulmonary Nursing Scholarship
