Are donations to the American Lung Association tax-deductible?

Yes. The American Lung Association is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

What percentage of my donation goes to research and programs?

Ninety cents out of every dollar you donate goes to support our lung health research and program initiatives. You can view our service expenses and annual reports on our Financial Statements page.

How can I access the American Lung Association's W-9 form? 

You can download it from our Financial Statements page.

What is the American Lung Association’s taxpayer identification number (TIN)? 

Our Tax ID is: 13-1632524.

Does the American Lung Association accept matching employee gifts? 

We do! Talk to your organization's human resources department to see if your company will match your gift to the American Lung Association. We are also a member of Community Health Charities, a federation of more than 60 health charities that manages its workplace giving opportunities.
