State Tobacco Taxes

The Tobacco Taxes grade tells you whether your state's taxes on cigarettes and other tobacco products, including e-cigarettes are high enough to prevent and reduce tobacco use. Higher tobacco taxes are a powerful tool to fight tobacco use. High prices on tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, encourage current tobacco users to quit, but they are most effective at helping prevent kids from starting to use tobacco products.
