Daniel J. Bowler is the Executive Director for the American Lung Association in Rhode Island and Connecticut. He started with the organization as an intern during his senior year at Bridgewater State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in communication studies and public relations. He began working full-time with the Lung Association in the summer of 2013. Daniel now leads some of the Lung Association's signature fundraising events in Providence, RI and Cape Cod, MA including the Fight For Air Climb, LUNG FORCE Walk and Autumn Escape Bike Trek. The funds raised at these events directly support the organization’s critical education, advocacy and research efforts. Daniel works closely with some of the organization’s top fundraisers, corporate sponsors and volunteers to provide support and encouragement during their event experience with the Lung Association and also handles the marketing, communications and logistics for these events. In addition to his work with the Lung Association, Daniel is extremely passionate about various human rights issues, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community.
