Nicole Reyes is the Development Director for the American Lung Association in Florida, serving South Florida. Nicole joined the Fort Lauderdale team in July of 2016. She has played an integral role in the fundraising efforts within Broward, Miami Dade, and Palm Beach County, and has been instrumental in forming strategic partnerships in those local markets. Her successes in South Florida include the launch of a Turquoise Takeover Task Force in 2017 to benefit the LUNG FORCE mission to defeat lung cancer. In collaboration with the Task Force, and the Fort Lauderdale team, Nicole has worked to create the highest fundraising Turquoise Takeover Matching Campaign year over year in the Eastern Division, which once again broke records in 2020. She also manages the LUNG FORCE Sunset Soiree, a lifestyle gala and premier social event in Fort Lauderdale that sheds a light on lung cancer in South Florida. In her 4 years with the American Lung Association she has increased revenue for this event by over 161% and leveraged the voices of over 40 LUNG FORCE Heroes passionate to end this devastating disease. Nicole was the recipient of the American Lung Association’s national Fundraising Excellence Award for the Eastern Division, in 2019. Nicole has also worked for Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach, and the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale, focusing on efforts to improve the lives of underserved families and children. Nicole graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2007 with a Bachelors degree in English – writing. She calls Coral Springs, FL home, with her husband and her baby girl born in 2020.
