Behind every fight for breath, there's a story: a husband who battles through long and difficult treatment. A mom who keeps going for her son. A dad who inspires his kids to ensure no one has to suffer like him.
Every story is a reminder that this community will do whatever it takes to stop lung disease, for ourselves and for others.
We wanted to share a snapshot of these people, their lives and those who love them.
Thank you for being a part of this.
My Husband John
This story is about my husband, John. He has been battling lung cancer for over 5 years. John has been receiving chemo every 3 weeks for the past 3 years. Throughout this time, he has maintained a positive attitude, great sense of humor and a lot of faith. When we go for a chemo treatment, he dances to the scales. His dancing inspired an original song. And to this day, John is still dancing through danger.

Myself, and My Son
I fight for myself, diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2014.
I fight for all those also in this battle. And most of all, I fight so very hard for my amazing son, David.
Our lives took a drastic turn 4 years ago, and he has never hesitated to be right by my side every step of the way. He is my godsend, my heart, my world, and I am so incredibly proud of him. He has his whole life ahead of him, and I want to be there to see it all.

My Dad
My Dad—the most happy-go-lucky man you would ever meet. A total family man and the best damn dad ever. My dad was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. He joined classes to learn more about this disease and still was adamant he would beat this. On Nov. 27, 2017 at 3:28, our lives and hearts were shattered. The man we called Dad, Husband and Grampa passed away peacefully with family by his side. This great man was a fighter until the end. We donated his lungs to research to help find a cure. I love you Dad and we will continue to fight a battle that you just could not beat.
—Amanda P.
We stand together to give those facing lung disease everything they need: education for better health, research to help find cures, and policies that protect the air we all breathe.
