The American Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Initiative is a $25M investment to end COVID-19 and defend against future respiratory virus pandemics. There are 36 million Americans that live with chronic lung disease that are more susceptible to severe symptoms of COVID-19. Through this initiative, we will use our time-tested model of addressing public health through education, advocacy and research.
In addition, air pollution is a serious problem that threatens our health on a daily basis, and the air we breathe indoors can be as hazardous as the air outdoors. Poor indoor air quality may contribute to the development and worsening of chronic lung diseases like asthma and COPD.
As part of their COVID-19 response, Dyson, creator of air purifiers and humidifiers, has designed and is producing CoVent ventilators, and is supporting the American Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Initiative. Dyson will donate $20 to the American Lung Association from each Dyson Pure Humidify+Cool™ and Dyson Pure Humidify+Cool Cryptomic™ model sold, with a minimum donation of $15,000 and maximum donation of $25,000, through May 21, 2020 or at $25,000 goal, whichever comes first.
