The American Lung Association is asking for your help. We want you to become a Vaccine Ambassador.
WHY? Some people are less receptive than others to the idea of being vaccinated against infectious respiratory diseases. Receptivity is impacted by the trustworthiness and relatability of the vaccine educators and messengers, as well as an individual’s perceived risk of infection. Helping people understand the safety and efficacy of getting vaccinated is instrumental for vaccines to work across large populations of people.
HOW? Visit Lung.org/vaccine-toolkit and download the toolkit and become familiar with the information and resources available. By downloading the Toolkit you will be enrolled as a Vaccine Ambassador and we’ll reach out to you with updates and next steps.
COMMITMENT: As a Vaccine Ambassador we ask that you consider donating one-hour a month for 12 months, working in tandem with the Lung Association on this special assignment to help educate people about the importance of getting vaccinated. Do one or more of the following activities below or create your own ideas and share them with us at vaccine-toolkit@lung.org
Here are some ways to get started after you have downloaded the Toolkit(s):
There is no one-size-fits-all approach as each community is unique. As Vaccine Ambassadors share their good work with us a vaccine-toolkit@lung.org, we will share the information to feed innovative and engaging ideas with everyone.
