Our Lung Cancer Researchers and Teams

Lung Cancer Researchers

A major focus of our research program is to foster projects designed to find cures, prevent and relieve suffering associated with lung cancer. Our Research Awards and Grants includes many awardees whose studies target lung cancer. See what a few of our researchers are working on the research we support.

Lung Cancer Expert Medical Advisory Panel

The Lung Cancer Expert Medical Advisory Panel provides the American Lung Association with strategic advice on critical lung cancer science and lung cancer-related issues. The panel members share their knowledge about trends in prevention, early detection and novel treatments; provide guidance on gaps in patient needs; review American Lung Association's clinician tools; and contribute to the association's overall lung cancer policy strategy. We are grateful for the support they provide to LUNG FORCE and all of the American Lung Association's lung cancer efforts. Meet our lung cancer expert medical advisory panel.

Scientific Advisory Committee

The Scientific Advisory Committee of the American Lung Association makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on a range of subjects, including lung cancer and women's lung health. The committee also reviews, evaluates and coordinates the American Lung Association research portfolio, which includes the Asthma Clinical Research Centers Network and the Awards and Grants program, and develops and scientific policy recommendations for the Lung Association. Meet our scientific advisory committee.

LUNG FORCE Heroes

Our LUNG FORCE Heroes have been touched by lung cancer and bravely share their stories to increase awareness and inspire others. LUNG FORCE Heroes make up many other important teams and groups at the Lung Association including LUNG FORCE spokespeople, LUNG FORCE Social Media Ambassadors and the Lung Cancer Patient Advisory Group. To join one of our important teams, share your story and then email Info@LUNGFORCE.org to inquire about other opportunities.
