Funding Research Directly Impacts Patient Care [Infographic]

The mission of the American Lung Association is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, and funding research is how we get there. For over a century, the American Lung Association has funded thousands of critical lung disease research projects. These projects include examining the cause and prevention of lung diseases like tuberculosis, asthma, COPD and lung cancer, as well as how to manage and eradicate lung disease.

Since 2000 we have invested over $186 million in research funding to directly impact patient care and find cures, and we will continue to invest in research until we achieve a world free of lung disease.
