Dr. Andrea McKee is a partner at Radiation Oncology Associates, PA, and currently serves as Chief of the Division of Radiation Oncology at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) Sophia Gordon Cancer Center in Burlington, MA.

She received her medical degree from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she served as chief resident.

Dr. McKee and a team of allied health professionals at LHMC initiated the Rescue Lung, Rescue Life community benefit CT lung screening program to save lives and open screening access to those at high-risk for lung cancer regardless of financial means.

Dr. McKee has co-authored numerous seminal peer-reviewed publications on the design, implementation and management of clinical CT lung screening. She is actively involved on a local and national level in preventative health issues focusing on patient-centered care, patient advocacy and patient empowerment. She is a member of several New England-based patient advisory councils and currently serves as a member of the Massachusetts State Cancer Control Steering Committee, co-chair of the State Lung Cancer Subgroup, and as advisory board member to the American Lung Association and the Lung Cancer Alliance.

Dr. McKee has collaborated with lung cancer advocacy and occupation risk groups, including the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts, and the Vietnam Veterans of America to bring about the goals of saving lives of those at high-risk for lung cancer.
