My husband was diagnosed in June 2021 with stage 4b non-small cell lung cancer with an EGFR exon 20 insertion factor. He passed away at home on March 13, 2022, with my and our dogs by his side. It was a battle to help him. He declined so fast I felt helpless. I wanted to save my husband but didn’t realize I couldn’t. His cancer was so advanced. My heart shattered the day I decided to place him in hospice, but I knew I couldn’t let him suffer anymore. I still struggle without him, but I want to help others and continue this fight for him.
