My story is about how lung cancer affected my mother’s life. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer after smoking for 61 years. She was initially diagnosed with COPD and emphysema. Her daily life became a struggle with, the constant cough and shortness of breath. She started Chemo and Radiation at the age of 77 and lost her battle less than a year later.
