Cindy P.

My mother was my best friend, my soul mate, and my hero.

My mother fell ill July 2013 and shortly after, we learned she had pulmonary adenocarcinoma, a form of cancer in the lungs.

My mother was a fighter! She was willing to do everything and anything to stick around a little bit longer. She went through multiple treatments of chemotherapy and radiation, but unfortunately, the cancer had spread through her body.

God called for her, and she left us on March 29, 2015, the day after I found out I was pregnant with my baby boy.

Not a single day goes by do I not think of her and miss her; and wish to see her face and hear her voice; and hope she is watching over and protecting my new family.

So not only did lung cancer take away my best friend; lung cancer robbed my son of ever meeting his grandmother, the greatest person I've ever known.
