I believe there should be more emphasis on living with COPD. It's not easy being on oxygen 24/7. It limits what you can do. A lot is shown on dying with lung disease, but I see nothing about living/existing with COPD. I have emphysema and chronic bronchitis, and I cannot do a lot. I wish people knew that smoking does not always cause death but it limits your ability to do things. I smoked non-filter cigarettes for 50 years and I'm paying the price. If I had seen on TV that living with COPD is not really living but existing, I may have stopped smoking.
