In 2012, I was diagnosed with NSC adenocarcinoma lung cancer, stage 3A. I did chemo and radiation. For nearly 3 years there was no sign of lung cancer anywhere till August 2015 - it was back in the exact same place. You can't radiate the same lung twice. My upper lobe is collapsing in on itself. I am on a maintenance therapy and so far so good. My tumor may even be dead. We will know this July when I have my next PET Scan. People need to know the weird possible symptoms of lung cancer, like undiagnosed leg pain. I had that for 4 years and no one thought to take a chest X-ray. Perhaps if doctors thought outside the own box we might catch this horrible disease sooner. I have one sister who has died from lung cancer, one who had most of her lung removed because of lung cancer, and another sister who has a chronic and deadly lung disease. My doctors are great and I owe my life to them, their care, expertise, and most importantly to God who has taken care of me every step of the way.
