2025-26 COVID-19 Recommendations

This 2025-26 respiratory viral season, the CDC narrowed the recommendations for COVID-19 vaccines to include: 

Will complete after ACIP meeting 

This decision was not based in evidence as outlined during the June ACIP meeting, Vaccine Integrity Project meeting, etc. As a result, professional medical organizations have released their own recommendations as follows: 

American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP)  

American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) 

American College of Obstetricians Gynecologists (ACOG) 

AWAITING ACP  

States across the country are working to remove some COVID-19 vaccination access barriers as follows:

These are subject to change and may be incomplete due to the evolving nature of the current situation. Please check with your state Department of Public Health for more information. 

Some state Departments of Health have issued or are working to issue their own COVID-19 vaccine guidance for the 2025-26 season. 

Insurance Coverage

Individuals should confirm their insurance coverage with their plan if they are not part of the ACIP-recommended groups.
