Today, the American Lung Association announced the 2025-2026 board of directors who will help advance the organization’s efforts to improve lung health and prevent lung disease. During the June 28 board meeting in Chicago, three new board members were elected to the national board, which is responsible for providing strategic and governance oversight to the organization.
“This is a critical time for lung health and the work of the American Lung Association as public health and research communities navigate significant challenges. Proven and effective public health programs have lost funding, lifesaving research has halted and rules that protect communities from deadly air pollution are being overturned,” said Harold Wimmer, President and CEO for the American Lung Association. “We are honored to have incredible leaders across the country who are committed to advancing our mission, and the new board members who joined this year will provide invaluable experience to help guide our organization.”
During the board meeting, the Lung Association welcomed new board members Denise Lee, attorney and lung cancer survivor; Eddie Fisher, vice president of investments for Eddie Fisher Wealth Strategies of Raymond James; and Kathryn Blake, Pharm.D., Director of the Center for Pharmacogenomics and Translational Research and Principal Research Scientist at Nemours Children’s Health.
