My reason for fighting for air is that my dad is in the final stages of emphysema and there are not many options left for him. He is on oxygen 24/7 and all the medicine for emphysema that is out there. It hurts me to hear him tell me that it's getting harder for him to breathe and that he has his good days and bad, but mostly bad.

He is 76-years-old, but I still think that is still too young to go when there really is nothing else to wrong with him. I love my dad very much, and it hurts me a lot to see him have to deal with this. All I can do now is hope and pray that he will be with us for at least a few more years.
