I left Alaska after two years in part because of the poor air quality in Fairbanks where I lived. Coal dust from multiple power plants left a residue of black dust on my kitchen counter tops. My cat developed asthma. While I've always had migraines, I noticed they were much more frequent and I wondered if the air pollution contributed to them.
