Lynn H., CA

I was in my early 40's, hale & hearty, playing tennis and jogging 3-5 days each week while living in the Northeast. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles near the water in the Long Beach port area, I began experiencing episodes of shortness of breath while exercising outside.

After some months I consulted a physician and was diagnosed with asthma! One of the recommendations made by my physician was to move away from the lovely port area because of the high concentration of particle pollution. In fact, it was suggested that I might consider living some place other than Los Angeles all together.

Great! We have polluted ourselves out of places we can safely live now. How dumb are we?
