I was born and raised it Bakersfield, CA. Luckily, I've traveled and seen good air quality! Most people are stuck in the Valley and don't realize the difference! I do, and my health definitely does!
By 35-years-old, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism including an enlarged thyroid with 7 nodules on it. In the next few years, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's hypothyroidism, lupus, Sjogren's syndrome and Graves' disease.
Yes, I know the environment in this valley has caused these problems! That's not even mentioning all the cancer in my family that lived next to or worked in agriculture. They had to breathe toxic pesticides! My grandfather worked in the fields all his life and died weighing 92 pounds from stomach cancer!
Please consider improving our environment and our lives!
