Rohit Katial, MD is a Professor of Medicine at National Jewish Health and the University of Colorado. He serves in multiple roles including Associate Vice President of Clinical Research & Industry Relationships, the Co-Director of the Cohen Asthma Institute at National Jewish Health and the Helen Wohlberg & Herman Lambert Chair in Pharmacokinetics. He previously served as the Director of the Allergy/Immunology Clinical Service and the Allergy and Immunology Adult Fellowship Program. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Allergy & Immunology with specialty certification in Clinical Laboratory Immunology.

Dr. Katial has an international reputation in airway disease and extensive publications on sinusitis, asthma, particularly on aspirin sensitive asthma and has particular interest in eosinophilic diseases. Additionally, he has published work on biomarkers in asthma, funded by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, as well as airways disease in the elderly. He has numerous original publications, as well as edited and authored many book chapters. He is the Principal Investigator for the American Lung Association Airways Clinical Research Centers, which is a U.S. based airway research network, and has conducted clinical trials for over 20 years. He has also led numerous trials on studying immune response to vaccines both in the setting of primary immune deficiency and airway disease.

Dr. Katial is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, as well as a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is the Vice-Chair of the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education Review Committee for Allergy and Immunology. He serves on the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) Board of Regents and on the ACAAI Executive Committee. He is on the steering committee for the Aspen Allergy Immunology conference as well as previously the President of the Western Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology from 2013-2016. Dr. Katial is on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
