Dr. John Lima is Principal Research Scientist Emeritus at Nemours Children's Health System. He received his BS degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and his PharmD degree from the University of Michigan. He completed fellowship training in Clinical Pharmacokinetics at the SUNY at Buffalo. He was a faculty member at Ohio State University and the University of Tennessee, in Memphis prior to joining Nemours. He chairs the Genetics Working Group of the ACRC. His research interests are in pharmacogenomics of asthma drugs, proton pump inhibitors, and vitamin D and is active in implementing pharmacogenomics testing of drugs in children. Currently Dr. Lima is funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health, American Lung Association and Nemours Biomedical Research. He has over 180 publications.
