Education on Asthma Self-Management

The Indiana Department of Health Asthma Program is partnering with the Lung Association by expanding the access of professional education and self-management education for pediatric and adult populations. The department of health is utilizing the following programs to achieve their goal:

  • Asthma Educator Institute
  • Breathe Well, Live Well
  • Open Airways for Schools
  • Kickin’ Asthma
  • Asthma Management in Schools: Assessing a Child's Readiness to Carry and Use a Quick-Relief Inhaler
  • Four Steps to Creating an Asthma-Friendly School

What is EXHALE?

The CDC’s EXHALE technical package represents a group of strategies, which, based upon the best available evidence, can improve asthma control and reduce healthcare costs.
