My mother died from pulmonary fibrosis in 2008. She was diagnosed and given five years but she lived eight. Terrible disease, she smoked but never inhaled, but her husband was a big chain smokers, but they quit 20 years before she was diagnosed. She faded slowly, lungs scaring and legs shaking daily. I’m 69 and I was not a smoker but I have had partners who smoked. Pulmonary fibrosis is  a painful disease to watch individual go through..
