Jane B., AL

My name is Jane Berry. I am 78 years old and I have Ideopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. I was first diagnosed years ago with COPD. Several years ago the diagnosis was changed to IPF. I have a very chronic cough and mucous, especially in the morning when I get up, after eating, moving around and even after talking. I am on oxygen constantly. What helps me breathe, beside oxygen, is breathing through my nose and blowing air out of my mouth. I also take a medication OFEV which is supposed to stop the progression of the disease . I have a lot of hair loss which may be a side affect of the OFEV. I have great grandchildren and 2 grandsons, son and daughter who live with me and keep me motivated. I can’t do much or drive anymore so I am blessed to have them here to help me. I pray every day and believe God can heal me if he chooses to do so. I try to stay positive and do what I can each day. I pray you all stay strong and keep your spirits up.
